Whether you’re an artist, actor, doctor, lawyer or website designer, Net Fame is the place to showcase who you are and receive support for what you do. Net Fame enables you to tag yourself, in other words, add keywords that best describe your skills and talents. Net Fame members and your friends can then support you. This gives you credibility that you are indeed talented.

Moreover, Net Fame takes your identity seriously, and we do not let fake profiles on this website to vote. This ensures a community of members who are real people, and when a Net Fame member supports another Net Fame member, it’s a real person who is vouching for you.
What is my Net Fame address?
Your Net Fame address is http://www.netfame.com/first-last-name-city. If you have not chosen a name, log into your account and edit your URL in your preferences. You will not be able to create a new URL once you choose one, so make sure you choose wisely.
How can I start building my Netfame?
You can start building your NetFame by clicking here to sign up. Once you complete the free sign up process, you will be then be directed through a wizard to add your picture and pick tags that best describe what you want to be famous for. You will then be directed to add the links to your external profiles and websites that you choose.
How can I vote or support members?
In order to vote or support for members, you must first join NetFame and then verify your identity. Once you have completed the verification process you are then able to support members.
How can I join Netfame?
To join Netfame, click on the 'Join' link on the top of the page. Enter all required information into the form and click the 'Join' button. You will then receive a confirmation email. You must click on the link in this email in order to confirm your email address and activate your account.
I never received the confirmation email.
When you register, a confirmation email is sent immediately to your email inbox. If it doesn't arrive, it is either a) because your spam filter inadvertently tagged it as spam -- please check your spam folder or b) you misspelled your email address during registration. Please try registering again.
I forgot my password. How can I log in?
Go to Netfame.com and click on 'Login'. Click on 'Forgot your password?' and enter your email address in the provided field. Your password will be emailed to you immediately.

You must be a member of Netfame to view your profile page. If you are not a member of Netfame yet, click "Join" in the top navigation and register. Once you are signed in, click on your username.
Why is my profile important?
Your profile is important because it establishes your identity and credibility on Net Fame. The more information you supply, the more your supporters will take you seriously. It is important that you take some time to insert a good quality picture that showcases your individuality. Also make sure to link to all your web pages and profiles so your future supporters can learn more about you.
How will people find my profile?
People will find your profile using the search bar we have on every page. People can also find you through the people browser. If you are a top ranking member in any fame tag or across the whole website, you will be featured in a coveted 1 of 7 slots on that fame tag page.
Will people find me through the search engines like Google?
NetFame’s website is search engine optimized, so you will find yourself by typing in your name on Google. If you have just joined, this may take a few days, and sometimes up to a few weeks before you will find your Net Fame profile on our site.
How do I edit my profile?
You can edit your profile by logging into your account. Once you log in, the tabs at the top of the page will direct to each part of your profile that you can make edits to.
The map is inaccurate, how do I change it?
In your account settings, make sure you input your correct city, state and zip code as this will ensure your location is properly shows on the map.

Is my information secure?
Yes, your information is secure when you input it into our system. However, due to the enormous amount of traffic our website receives, your information is available to others who come to the website. We strive hard to ensure that any personally identifiable or sensitive data you input into our website is stored safely in our databases. Net Fame does not share your information with other 3rd party sources. Who can support me?
Only verified members can support you. The reason we restrict your supporters to verified members is to verify their identity as a real person. With the amount of fake profiles growing on other social networking websites, we want to ensure that all members have a fair playing ground to receive real votes from real people.
Why can I only support one person as my top talent for each tag?
You can only support one person for 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place. This ensures quality in supporting. Most people know more than one person for a skill, and Net Fame enables you to classify the people you support as your 1st pick, 2nd pick and 3rd pick.
Who can I support?
You must first become a verified member to support other Net Fame members. You can support anyone for any tag. You can pick up to three people for each tag, and rank them by your 1st pick, 2nd pick and 3rd pick.
How can I change a review?
You cannot change a review that someone has given you. If a review is malicious and or offending to you, please contact us, and we will review it.
Can I delete supporters?
No, you cannot delete your supporters.
How can I go back and change my supporters?
Once you support another NetFame member, you must first remove your support for the person you are currently supporting. You will then have the option to support someone else for a tag.
What is a VIP Slot?
A VIP slot is paid placement either on our homepage or on an individual tag. Members not wishing to gain supporters, but want to be featured on Net Fame can place a bid for a VIP slot on the home page and for your tags.
What are the advantages of a VIP Slot?
Net Fame.com is a global marketplace for talented and skillful individual’s. Net Fame receives tens of thousands of unique visitors per day, so being featured will bring you lots of exposure to you and your external web pages.
How many VIP slots are available?
There are three home page slots and three slots for each keyword available for bidding.
How can my face be in the VIP / Top slots?
You can be featured in our top spots one of two ways. 1) Gain supporters for your talents and be featured in the top spots for that section or 2) Bid for a VIP slot to be there without having to gain supporters.
What is the price for VIP Slots?
The pricing for VIP slots varies depending on the keyword and the current bid. If you are bidding for keywords, the current bid price will be listed. If no one bids for a top spot, the price will lower $1/day until it reaches the minimum price of $1 per slot.
How can I purchase VIP Slots?
You can purchase VIP slots by first becoming a verified member. Once you are a verified member, you can bid for VIP slots by clicking here, or clicking the link under the slots on any page.
How does the bidding process work?
You bid on top slots based on the dollar amount of your bid. The three highest bidders will be featured in the top spots either on the home page or the tag of your choice. You will be notified when you are featured in a VIP Slot.
I do not see myself listed under a VIP slot I bided for?
This could be happening for a number of reasons. Please read each reason, and if you feel it matches what you think, please contact us.
1. When you place a bid for a tag, you are not going to show up immediately. As some tags are very popular tags, and bidders sometimes will wait up to1 week before they appear in the VIP slot they bided for.
2. If you just placed a bid, the earliest you can appear will be the following day.
3. Your bid amount was not high enough to be listed in the VIP slot. If you check your bid, you should see the exact reason, and recommendations on how to raise your bid.
I don’t want to pay, how can I get into the top slots?
You can earn FameCash™ by referring friends. Each friend you refer is worth one FameCash™ dollar that you can use to purchase VIP Slots. Refer your friends, and be featured for free.
What is the Fame Bar?
The Fame Bar is your online reputation ranking for NetFame verified members that support you. This bar is the graphical representation of your FameScore online.
Your FameScore is calculated by the number of Fame Tags™ you have in relation to the number of supporters you have for each FameTag™. You percentage is then determined by your relation to the top member within the NetFame network.
Bottom line, the more supporters you have the higher your score will be.
What is the difference between the two Fame Bars?
The orange vertical FameBar™ is your overall fame score on Net Fame. The red horizontal FameBar™ is your fame within an individual category. For instance, if you are listed in 10 tags, but only are supported in 3 tags, your score will not be as high as someone who has 3 tags and has the same number or supporters in those three tags. Quality matters at NetFame. Less tags and more supporters equal a higher FameScore™
What does the FameBar™ mean?
Your fame bar is your score for an individual tag that you have chosen to present you. The more votes you get, the higher your fame bar will go, and the more exposure you will receive.
How is my Netfame Bar Ranking determined?
Your Fame bar ranking is determined by a number of factors. It’s a secret patent pending recipe that is determined by the number of FameTags™ you have in relation to the number of supporters in each. The fame of each of your supporters is also taken into consideration.
How do I report inappropriate profiles and links?
